How is cal state fullerton. Is it a fun school, or just a boring school. Whats the feel. Is it a party school or a relaxed school.

CSUF business is actually really good but alot of ppl from my school turn them down and go somewhere else like UCI for business because of the name. So if you are not going to Fullerton for a business related major you should look somewhere else, if you are you should consider it.

April CSU Fullerton has a great business program, and an awesome placing program which can help you find a job easily right when you graduate. It's one of the more competitive CSUs for sure CSUF has a pretty good communications program as well, in addition to debate team. If you are interested in either, you should consider CSUF.

They also offer pretty good debate scholarships, even to people who don't have prior debate experience. In the abstract, for most programs, Long Beach probably edges out both from an academic reputation perspective. That said, when choosing between 3 schools like these, personal fit should drive the choice every time. Recent Activity San Jose vs Sonoma.

I applied to a couple schools and I got into all of them and these are my top two, but now I have to choose between them which is super hard to do!! My original first choice was Long Beach it was great and highly reccomended and popular and I fell in love with it. And then right before I sent in my applications I found Fullerton and it was great so it skipped up to my second choice. So I applied to all and waited obsessing over Long Beach very nervous and then January 6th I receive an email from Fullerton and I was accepted I had been obsessing over Long Beach I hadn't even noticed the other schools.

But anyway I was super excited and it was a month until I got accepted to Long Beach. It was exactly a month. I got accepted February 6th to long beach.

But in that month I absolutely fell in love with Fullerton. I had even convinced myself that I wasn't getting accepted to long beach but then I did and now I don't know which to choose. Do I go with my original love or my new love? My major would be Theatre with a couple possible minors. From what I can tell Fullerton has the better theatre study program.

But long beach is good as well. But there is still something that draws me to Fullerton. Like I said they have the better theatre at least it seems. But there BFA program is a lot harder to get into than the long beach performance option.

But then I think well if j really want to be an actor I should go with the harder program to get into so I can really see how good I am instead of taking the easy route cause the acting world is not easy. Also they way I found Fullerton was I was looking up how to balance starting an acting career and college. And an article mentioned that Fullerton would be a great school to get good acting training as well as being in a good area to start a career.

They also have newer dorms but a smaller campus at acres and long beach has acres. And a quick thing Fullerton has been a lot better with communicating with me.Forums New posts Search forums. To answer your question: csulb is actually a good film school with great equipment. The downside of course is it's impacted. Meaning there are too many students who use this equipment.

I got into CSULB no problem, though, so it's looking more and more like that's the direction life's going to steer me down.

Where is the film school located on the campus? I drove down to CSULB to drop off some financial aid paperwork last week and walked around the campus a bit, but I couldn't find anyone who knew where the film school was, nor did any of the directories list it unless they call it something other than school of film or a synonym, of course. Thanks for the reply.

I honestly don't appreciate the way they notify the last 30 applicants who have been interviewed. At least they should notify us through email, not through the mass UC system. I feel like we deserve an explanation seeing as we were the finalists.

I probably know why I was rejected though, my igetc wasn't even compete haha but it still sucks. I was thinking about staying at my shitty community college for another year, but to be honest I'ma just take any opportunity I have.

Hello, I am a current high school senior and I'm wondering what my chances are to get into fullerton's nursing program. I've been doing research but I can't find statistics on their acceptance rates for their nursing programs. September September edited September Your test scores are within range, your GPA is on the low side. Is it possible to still be accepted in to the entry level freshman program?

If I were to not make it into the entry level freshman would I have to go through the the CSUF student pathway or is there another way to make it into the school? The Entry Level Freshman program is the direct admit program so based on last years EI threshold, you would not make it in. The EI thresholds will fluctuate from year to year so there are no guarantees. Alright a bit of a bummer but I appreciate the response!

There is no reason not to apply since the EI thresholds do change, but just be aware it might be a tough admit and you should apply widely especially for Nursing in California.

CSULB vs CSUF

I dunno, this seems like a replay of a discussion Gumbymom and I had about TAG admission on the transfer forum where the rules they put on their website don't seem as clear as they could be.

In this case they have on the webpage "Applicants to the program will only be considered if they have met all of the below requirements. To my reading, they have not said "Applicants will be admitted if they met all the below requirements", just considered. It's a moot point now since the OP doesn't have the 4, points, but I'm not sure that if she gets the better test score to qualify that it means auto admit.

Some nursing programs, like SDSU, list a formula to compute a point total and then say they rank applicants and admit in order off that list. Fullerton doesn't say this, but they don't say "meet our listed requirements and you are in" either. So I'm a bit suspicious of there being more selection than they mention on that page, by any means they choose to use. Perhaps the index as suggested, but they don't say that's what they use.

I suggest the OP contact Fullerton for clarification, there is a button to email them right on their webpage. There is no reason not to apply to direct-admit programs, apply to all you can, but if you really know that you want to be a nurse thru exposure via volunteer or paid work and don't get into a direct-admit then keep in mind an alternative path that is increasingly popular.

Not only that, with an RN degree via this path you can get a good job although a BSN is better for long-term advancement and some larger hospitals might prefer it. February What will happen?? How many people do they often waitlist into the program?? Basically everyone will be waitlisted according to this information For Fall admission, the Nursing program will waitlist all top qualified applicants.

Admission will be offered to the top students from the waitlist pool. Approximately how many applicants do they waitlist? I was also waitlisted at CSUF As far as I know, they never had a waitlist for Nursing.College Info. Cal State colleges provide higher education to hundreds of thousands of students from California and the rest of the country and world.

There are 23 California State University campuses that offer undergraduate education. Below is the list of Cal State schools:. There are aboutstudents and 52, faculty and staff at CSU schools. All of the CSUs are California public colleges, and they have earned a reputation for offering their students access to higher education at an affordable price.

However, many of the CSU schools are composed almost entirely of California residents. The Cal State schools are spread across the state of Californiafrom San Diego in the south to Humboldt in the north. They vary tremendously in size. Cal Maritime has the smallest enrollment with 1, students, and CSU Fullerton has the largest with 40, Three of the CSU schools have a particular focus.

Cal Maritime is a maritime academy, which is a school focused on teaching skills that can be put to use on the ocean or in industries related to the ocean. It's the only degree-granting maritime academy on the west coast. However, they do offer majors in the humanities and social sciences.

The rest of the CSUs don't have a particular focus, but business is one of the most popular majors at the majority of the campuses. Also, many of the CSU campuses have a high percentage of commuter and non-traditional students.

Commuter students live off campus, often with their families, and non-traditional students have taken more than a year off in between high school and college, or they go to school part time. Common complaints from students at schools with a large percentage of commuters are that there's not much school spirit, and it can be hard to make friends for students who live off-campus. The CSU schools try to make higher education accessible and accommodate the needs of their students.
